Accreditation
NAEYC Accredited Preschool
This accreditation places us in the top 8% of preschools and child care centers in the nation!
On May 16, 2006, Parish Day School first earned accreditation from the National Association of the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)—the nation’s leading organization of early childhood professionals. Choosing a NAEYC accredited program is your assurance that your child is getting the best care and early learning experiences.
Parish Day School is one of the few not-for-profit, religious centers in the country—not to mention Virginia Beach—to be NAEYC accredited. It is extremely difficult to earn this designation. Programs must meet 100% of required criteria and 80% of other criteria upon which they are assessed within each standard to achieve NAEYC accreditation.
LEVEL 5
Virginia Quality Level 5
Parish Day School was the first program in Virginia Beach to achieve a Level 5 rating!
We are proud to be a model of quality in early childhood education, having earned the highest possible quality level through Virginia Quality. Virginia Quality is a statewide initiative created to provide a consistent way to distinguish the level of quality in early education programs, allowing parents to make more informed choices in child care and preschool.
Early learning providers who participate in this voluntary program are provided with a way to continually improve the quality of their services.
